Steve launched his career as an undergrad, producing university concerts and events and managing a successful rock band. As a professor, he enjoys creating an engaging learning culture for his students. He teaches on topics like creativity and innovation, organizational behavior, and team dynamics. Throughout his career, Steve has been pioneering endeavors within the entertainment industry, higher education, and other nonprofit industries.

His interests include spending time with family and friends, enjoying nature by hiking and exploring, road trip adventures, kayaking, playing board games, and traveling.

Steve grew up in the mountains of Northern California, where he remembers a childhood of exploring and playing in the woods with his friends. He built bike trails, tree forts, and trails with lookouts. He loved to imagine sharing these with others by leading tours.
