Playful Soul
Carl Jung (1875-1961) once proposed that being born is a miracle, but what we do with our lives is up to each of us. Outside influences have huge impacts on where we ultimately end up. Our families, education, and society all factor in. As we come into this world we are born with the most amazing ability to learn through play and through play, we explore the world around us. Each of us has our own Play DNA™ and we express it though our unique Playsonality™.
Jung is well-known for his work around personality archetypes, such as introverts and extroverts, which many people know due to the popularity of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). He is also known for identifying that humans have a shadow self and blind spots. This concept inspired the work of Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingram when they developed the Johari Window.
The Johari Window—Joe and Harry, in case you are wondering about the name—was created to help explain the known and not known to self and the known and not known to others. The idea here is that we all have blind spots that others can see but we can't, and we also have a shadow self we don't identify; it is also hidden to others.
The Playsonality™ has been developed for those looking to find not only their superpower and their unique element, but also to bring the shadow self into the light for exploration and discovery. This is your hidden Playsonality™ and we all have one.
Plato is credited for saying “You can learn more about a man in an hour of play than a lifetime of work.”
If you are curious about your unique Play DNA™ and what might be hiding in the shadows for you to decode and uncover, we would love to join you on this amazing journey of discovery.
