Recap of EPIC International Summit 2026
From April 27–29, 2026, the Strategic Play team made its way to beautiful Santa Barbara for the EPIC International Summit 2026 at Rancho Tajiguas Preserve. This amazing backdrop provided the perfect creative environment. We were excited to host a Play Lab featuring the Playsonality™, where attendees could explore the different sides of play.
EPIC is a conference dedicated to creating an unplugged experience, where participants and facilitators alike step away from technology for three full days. Without digital distractions, everyone engaged in meaningful connections and focused on the experience of play through the deeper discovery of their Play DNA™.
During our Play Lab, participants visited eight different interactive play zones, each designed to encourage hands-on exploration and self-discovery. With the help of a Play Lab card, they rated each activity and collected DNA thumbprint stickers for each completed activity. This interactive experience allowed everyone to delve into their unique play preferences.
To commemorate their journeys, attendees had the opportunity to get their photos taken using a custom frame highlighting their playstyle. We loved seeing all the smiling faces and the enjoyment radiating from each participant.
The Play Lab was not just educational—it was a lot of fun! Getting to witness the creativity and enthusiasm of everyone involved was fantastic. Check out some of these great photos from the event.
