As a Private Formulator, Mike began his career as a mechanical designer working in the heavy trucking industry and later started his own business.   His proficiency with mechanical engineering, programming and industrial design gave him the opportunity to participate in many exciting projects and develop numerous innovations, accruing several patents in his name.  His projects range from reverse engineering helicopter parts to developing a 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steer active suspension system for off road rescue vehicles. After many years in the engineering world he has now also started ranching.  In 2024 he began operating a large family ranch which has presented many new engineering and management challenges.

As a child, Mike was fascinated by anything mechanical.  Instead of toys he was frequently bought old appliances to take apart and investigate.  Sometimes this fascination led to the disassembly of working devices that were not intended to be disassembled, much to the displeasure of his parents.

Mike enjoys camping, motorcycling, free diving, and working on his ranch.
