Maxine began her career as a Developmental Services Worker and Early Childhood Educator. She then became a program coordinator at the local college before returning to complete a Master's Degree in Leadership and Adult Learning. Her ease at engaging students made her a favorite professor. She developed educational programs using fun activities that proved to support learning transfer.

Her interests include both community and improv theater, and also playing with technology to create customized gifts for friends and family. On the weekend, she loves to attend relaxed events where people gather to have fun, including pickle ball or the cottage campfire.

At age five, her parents enrolled her in the London Academy for the Arts. This occurred after a kindergarten performance where she scared her classmates by playing a witch.  As a teen, she was an active member of the local theater and performed in several community plays.
